As objectives of its current and future plans, SIGMAS will benefit and serve its members and the community through a range of activities, e.g.:

Collect, manage and build a repository of knowledge of Modeling and Simulation from the members of the community.

Share, disseminate, and discuss knowledge of Modeling and Simulation among the members of the community.

Organize and sponsor workshops and conference tracks on current topics and trends of Modeling and Simulation.

Establish a research and education network, develop community courses on Modeling and Simulation.

Increase awareness of the importance of Modeling and Simulation in IS and IT design and development.
